Manchester United news: Club confirm Ashley Young has signed new contract
Ashley Young has signed a one-year contact extension, Manchester United have confirmed.The 33-year-old joined the club from Aston Villa in 2011 and has scored17 goals in 227 appearances in addition to winning the Premier League, FA Cup, the League Cup and Europa League.Young was in the final few months of his current deal, withUnited exercising a clause in his previous one to extend his terms for a further season, taking him up to the end of the current campaign.He becomes the latest first team star to agree to new terms since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over as manager, with Phil Jones and Anthony Martial also recently extending their stays.The club and Solskjaer value his experience and hehas played 19 times in the Premier League this season, with many coming at right-back. However, it was his displays on the opposite flank, though, that saw him in the form of his life last term.
