Long after his departure, he is still fondly remembered for the part he played in one of the greatest encounters in the competitions history, in which he incredibly netted all four goals.He opened the scoring on 36 minutes, before Yossi Benayoun and Fernando Torres responded, but the Gunners and Arshavin added two more, only for Torres to net his second. The Gunners thought they had won it in stoppage time when Arshavin grabbed his fourth, but Benayoun salvaged a point.
