Chelsea transfer news: Maurizio Sarri holds talks with Nabil Fekir over Stamford Bridge move
Maurizio Sarri has reportedly held talks with Nabil Fekir over the Lyon star potentially moving to Chelsea.Fekir, the France playmaker who won the World Cup earlier this year, was close to joining Liverpool in the summer transfer window but a move collapsed at the eleventh hour.2

Fekir looked certain to join Liverpool earlier this year

The 25-year-old’s future at Lyon remains up in the air with Chelsea and German giants Bayern Munich reportedly now leading the race to snap him up.And, according to El Gol Digital, Sarri, the Chelsea manager, has already spoken to Fekir over the phone to explain his long-term project in an attempt to convince the in-demand midfielder to move to Stamford Bridge. The former Napoli coach has also assured Fekir he will be regarded as one of the most important players at the club should he link up with the west Londoners.2

Fekir is likely to hold discussions with Lyon in the coming weeks as the race to snare his signature hots up with under two months to go until the transfer window reopens.
