The penalty was eventually awarded after Diogo Dalot’s speculative shot struck Presnel Kimpembe on the arm. Slovenian referee Damir Skomina initially signalled for a corner, but was alerted by the Video Assistant Referee and, after a substantial delay as he checked the pitch-side monitor, the spot kick was given for handball.PSG star Neymar, who missed both the ties through injury, angrily blasted the decision as a disgrace, while manager Thomas Tuchel said his side did not deserve to go out.
